How do I teach?
In the classes I teach, the focus is on comprehensible input and interaction with the language.
I use different CI methodsbecause I know that the brain loves diversity and new stimuli.
Everything we do in class gradually leads you to fluency in Spanish, because I want you to feel comfortable with the language.
What's covered in a class?
Immersion
From the very first class I speak Spanish to get your brain immersed in the language.
Communication
We use Spanish in class. I create the environment for natural interaction with the language.
Comprehensible input
You hear Spanish and understand it. I make sure that new content is comprehensible to you.
Storytelling
I tell you stories in Spanish. You get to know and absorb the language through natural contact with it.
WHY DO I TEACH LIKE THIS?
Because there is nothing more satisfying than seeing a joy in the eyes of the students, when they can communicate in this language.
As students learn a new language, they transition from translating it to assimilating it
Because it works. I have trained with experts, analysed research and I know that what I am doing is effective and leads to fluidity.
Because a lot of people have a negative experience with language learning, and I want to change it.
I do not teach theory and grammar rules.
I do not use textbooks or exercise books.
I don't use vocabulary lists and I don't teach 'by heart'.
